(Virginia Beach, VA) - Roll out for some nose-grinding action at this adrenaline-packed skateboard competition! Virginia Beach Parks & Recreation proudly presents the 2008 SK8R Bash at the Mount Trashmore Skate Park in Virginia Beach on Saturday, September 6, 2008.

Free and open to the public with onsite parking.
Big airs, board grabs and other raw tricks will be on order as we host an amateur skateboard contest. Applications are available for download at www.VBgov.com/parks. Deadline for $20 registration is August 30, 2008 – space is limited! Event day registration $25, if space is available. Registration fees includes event T-shirt. Enjoy activities such as live rocking music, freestyle skating on the mobile street course and the chance to conquer the POWERade Rock Climbing Wall! The “Gamer Bus” will be onsite from 12 noon – 3 pm, offering free interactive opportunities to all with 16 system-linked video gamer stations. The VAULT Experiential Booth will be on hand with interactive activities for Xbox enthusiasts. Win prizes and giveaways from participating sponsors and vendors, too!
